As a Marin County native, Dr. Keegan Hovis is excited to be serving her home community as a diagnostic radiologist with an emphasis in breast imaging. She earned her medical degree from Boston University and completed her internship at Kaiser in San Francisco. Subsequently, she completed residency training in Diagnostic Radiology at the University of Washington and a fellowship in Breast Imaging at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH). Throughout her training, she has been involved in mentorship, research, and volunteer work both domestically and internationally. Within the field of radiology, she has published multiple articles, presented at several conferences, and received the 2021 ARRS Fellow in Radiology Executive Council Award for her research on ductal carcinoma in situ.
Dr. Hovis’ decision to specialize in breast imaging was centered on her desire to serve patients the way her mother’s care team supported her when she had breast cancer. She is proud to be working with such a dedicated team who have the shared goal of providing the most comprehensive and compassionate care to all patients. Whether reassuring patients of a benign finding, divulging suspicions of cancer, or addressing questions of femininity, I am invested in our commitment that we will be there every step of the way.
