Breast Imager, California Advanced Imaging Medical Associates, Peninsula Division

Our Peninsula Division is seeking an exceptional Breast Imager to join our private practice in the California Bay Area serving dedicated high-volume breast centers through California Advanced Imaging Medical Associates (CAIMA). We provide the full spectrum of diagnostic imaging and interventional services to multiple hospitals and service centers in the area including Sutter Health at Mills-Peninsula and The County of San Mateo Medical Center with a robust breast imaging practice.

We are seeking a board certified, or eligible, passionate breast imager with excellent clinical and interpersonal skills to join our team. MQSA certified with 6-months to 1-year dedicated Breast Imaging Fellowship training. Proficiency in breast imaging and procedures including interpreting 3-D screening and diagnostic mammography, breast ultrasound, breast MRI, as well as breast interventions including ultrasound, stereotactic, and MRI-guided biopsies and breast localizations. Proficiency in general diagnostic imaging, well supported by a collegial team of non-breast subspecialists who typically provide call coverage to exclude neuro MR and body MR cases from general call responsibilities.

Partnership-track radiologist focused on nuclear medicine and body imaging in a premier, established, private practice radiology group, California Advanced Imaging Medical Associates, serving California Pacific Medical Center (CPMC), part of Sutter Health.  ABR board certification/eligibility is required.  Additional ABNM board certification/eligibility or Nuclear Radiology CAQ is preferred.  Candidates with subspecialty training in body imaging with an interest in nuclear medicine will also be considered.

CPMC is a private, not-for-profit, quaternary care hospital with multiple campuses located entirely within the city of San Francisco, including two brand-new hospitals completed in 2019 and 2020.  CPMC serves as the hub for Sutter Health’s Advanced Organ Therapy and Transplantation for over 3 million patients across Northern California, with over 60 liver and over 200 renal transplants performed annually.  CPMC is also home to many active medical and surgical oncologic services, including a Colorectal Cancer Center of Excellence and the Center for Melanoma Research and Treatment.

Nuclear Medicine at CPMC is hospital-based and includes general diagnostic nuclear medicine, PET-CT, and radionuclide therapy.  PET-CT is predominantly oncologic, including non-FDG radiotracers for oncology.  Our established program in radionuclide therapy includes iodine-131 therapy of hyperthyroidism and thyroid cancer, radium-223, and lutetium-177 therapeutic agents.  Our technologist and nursing staff members are highly skilled and experienced.  We have excellent, collaborative relationships with our referring physicians.

Candidates should have additional expertise in body imaging and be comfortable with prostate MRI and minor procedures.  Ability to perform spine interventions is a plus.
