Partnership-track radiologist focused on general radiology and body imaging in a premier, established, private practice radiology group in Marin County just North of San Francisco. California Advanced Imaging Medical Associates Peninsula Division, serving Mills-Peninsula and San Mateo Medical Centers in San Mateo County, is seeking diagnostic radiologists for multiple partnership-track positions. ABR board certification/eligibility is required. Fellowship training in musculoskeletal, breast/women’s or abdominal imaging are preferred, but candidates with other subspecialty training will also be considered. Mills-Peninsula Medical Center (MPMC) is a Sutter Health affiliated not-for-profit 241-bed acute care hospital with 24-hour emergency care located in Burlingame, CA, and recently renovated in 2011. MPMC is home to many active medical and surgical services, including a comprehensive stroke care center, a cardiovascular center of excellence and high-volume orthopedic hospital.  Mills Health Center is an outpatient facility providing surgical and diagnostic services, as well as a Breast Imaging Center. These Sutter facilities have state-of-the-art equipment and recently received the Healthgrades Triple Crown award for the second consecutive year. San Mateo Medical Center is a 448-bed acute care hospital operated by the County of San Mateo and dedicated to serving the county’s underinsured patient population.

Our breast radiologists primarily staff our dedicated breast imaging center at Mills Health Center, where we provide the full spectrum of services including 3-D screening and diagnostic mammography, breast ultrasound, breast MRI, as well as breast interventions including ultrasound, stereotactic and MRI-guided biopsies and breast localizations. We have a robust and well-established practice and exceptional relationships with our breast surgeons, oncologists and referring providers.

Abdominal imaging at the Peninsula Division focuses on oncology, pancreaticobiliary, genitourinary and women’s imaging as well as general radiology and minor procedures. We have collegial relationships with our clinical colleagues including surgical and medical oncology, urology and OB/GYN, and participate in various tumor boards which help to enhance these relationships and visibility.

Our musculoskeletal imagers practice the full breadth of MSK radiology, including a high volume of large and small joint MRI as well as image-guided MSK interventions, and general radiology. Mills-Peninsula Medical Center is a high-volume orthopedic hospital offering the full breadth of orthopedic care.

All radiologists in our group have a strong diagnostic radiology skillset with subspecialty fellowship training, and a collegial and supportive relationship with one another. All radiologists participate equally in an evening/weekend general radiology call pool, regardless of subspecialty. Overnight coverage (9p-8a) is provided by a teleradiology service.

Interventional Radiologist, California Advanced Imaging Medical Associates, Peninsula Division

The Peninsula division of CAIMA is seeking a full-time partner track interventional and diagnostic radiologist to round out our team of 4 IRs serving well-respected community and county hospitals in the San Francisco Peninsula. Approximately 25-33% IR work, with flexible general/subspecialty radiology comprising the remainder, based on the candidate’s areas of expertise.

We are a well-established private practice comprised of ~20 radiologists contracted with Sutter Health affiliate Mills-Peninsula Medical Center and San Mateo Medical Center, located just 15 miles south of San Francisco and 30 minutes north of Silicon Valley. This job is a great fit for candidates interested in both DR and IR, with outstanding work-life balance and opportunity for growth in the IR practice. IR case breakdown is ~60% general IR procedures such as biopsies, drains, arthrograms/injections with growing IO and outpatient work including Y-90, hepatic and renal ablation, kyphoplasty, UFE and opportunity for new service lines. No PAD, inpatient vascular access or vascular on-call cases. There is no formal IR call, but we do collegially share responsibility for the rare urgent non-vascular weekend inpatient case (extra pay per case).  There is biweekly tumor board coverage shared by all IRs. DR responsibilities include general/emergency radiology, body CT, and stroke CT/MRI, with flexibility to cover additional subspecialty rotations based on the candidate’s skillset. Approximately 25% of the DR rotations can be covered remotely with a provided home workstation.

The San Francisco Division of California Advanced Imaging Medical Associates provides an exceptional level of Interventional Radiology services to California Pacific Medical Center (CPMC). Approximately 75%-time staffing IR and 25%-time staffing sub-specialized or general diagnostic radiology rotations with flexibility based on personal interests.

 

IR Equipment:

 

Siemens Artis Angio suites, including biplane, a Siemens Zeego Angio suite, and one GE large bore Revolution CT dedicated to IR procedures.

 

Procedures:

 

High volume TIPS, Y90s, ablations including MWA and IRE, portal vein reconstructions, complex biliary and urologic interventions, AngioVac, UFE, PAE, kyphoplasty, pulmonary artery embolectomy and more. The ideal candidate would have experience at a liver transplant center and have expertise in Interventional Oncology as well as complex TIPS, BRTO, portal vein reconstructions and complex biliary procedures that are all routine at this center. The ideal candidate would also be interested in a clinic-based IR model and want to help grow outpatient services.
