Matt Chesler

Chief Executive Officer

Matt Chesler holds the belief that all problems, no matter how complex, have a solution. As an entrepreneurial leader with an eye for growth, he leads as CEO of California Advanced Imaging Medical Associates (CAIMA). Since its inception in 1982, CAIMA has grown to five divisions with 60 radiologists who provide subspecialty expertise at 10 hospitals and multiple outpatient imaging centers in the San Francisco Bay Area as well as nationally through their MSK and Spine subspecialty teleradiology division.

Matt was selected by CAIMA’s Board of Directors to serve as CEO in 2022. Matt is responsible for performing and overseeing executive and administrative functions while fostering growth and stability for the organization.

HANDS-ON, CROSS-FUNCTIONAL LEADERSHIP STYLE

Peers describe Matt as a “Swiss Army knife” of sorts, with the uncanny ability to jump in, roll up his shirt sleeves, and tackle any task or lead in any position. Having excelled in various leadership roles prior to joining CAIMA, Matt knows business operations well. He is actively engaged at all levels within the organization. Committed to creating a continuous learning environment and believing that growth is best fostered from within, Matt has mentored and promoted individuals into leadership roles to mobilize the organization forward. His personal philosophy mirrors Warren Bennis, “Leadership is the capacity to translate vision into reality.”

OPERATIONS & GROWTH STRATEGIST

Prior to serving as the CEO at CAIMA, Matt was hand-selected to assume the role of COO with Medford Radiology Group (2019–2021), where he oversaw multiple departments: Finance, Revenue Cycle, Human Resources, and Operations. Respected as a dynamic leader and pivotal strategist, Matt developed close relationships with the group’s radiologists and Board members while partnering together to advance regulatory compliance initiatives, infrastructure project management, credentialing, and the opening of an interventional outpatient clinic.

Earlier in his career, Matt served as Executive Director for Oregon Advanced Imaging, a joint venture between Medford Radiology Group and Providence Medford Medical Center. He quickly earned recognition for his role in optimizing operations, forging relationships with Board members, and providing strategic leadership to increase patient satisfaction while empowering staff to accelerate unprecedented growth.

Prior experience includes VP-level roles in Operations and Workforce Development at Southern Oregon Goodwill Industries, program management at Siskiyou County Economic Development Council, and over ten years as a self-employed business owner in the construction industry. Matt’s tenure as a business owner helped shape his proactive approach to tackle challenges head on and honed his high emotional intelligence in hiring and training team members that demonstrate potential.

Matt received an MBA and B.S. in Business Administration, summa cum laude, from Southern Oregon University, pursuing his education while working full-time. Matt resides in Novato, California, and enjoys spending time with his family outdoors.

Thomas Szozda
Director of Information Technology
Thomas Szozda, Director of Information Technology, has over 25 years of technical and technical management experience. As a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer and Applied Electronics Technology diplomate, Mr. Szozda began his carrier as a computer technician and rose to the position of West Coast Field Support Manager with responsibility for 100+ technicians before joining the IMMIX team in 2000.

As Director of Information Technology, he manages the Teleradiology and Technical Support team that provides technology and informatics support for over 250 users, a network with over 80 site connections, and an extensive list of technology assets that enable security, automation, and communication for the enterprise. Mr. Szozda is also an application developer who created the IRIS Radiology Information System, which drives the CAIMA radiologist’s workflow.

Kaitlin Doyle
Operations Manager
Kaitlin Doyle, Operations Manager has over 10 years medical administration experience. She started with IMMIX in March 2018 as a billing and EDI representative, in June 2019 she moved into the credentialing department and assisted with executive assistant duties to the C-suite. In October 2022 she took on the role of Operations Manager and still assists our new Credentialing Specialist, Jennifer Neller when applicable.

With all her years of experience, she is very knowledgeable in the onboard of physicians both for hospital credentialing and privileging, as well as payer enrollment credentialing. She currently has a degree in Communications and is in school to obtain her degree in Business Administration.

When not at work or school, she likes to play with her two French Bulldogs Goomba and Bowser, golf at Indian Valley Golf Course, cook/bake, and craft.
