Dr. Nevitt graduated AOA from Rush Medical College in Chicago before completing his Diagnostic Radiology Residency at Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle. He served as Chief Resident and authored several medical papers and articles. He completed his fellowship in Vascular and Interventional Radiology at UCSF. Before joining the North Bay Division, Dr. Nevitt practiced at Seton Medical Centerwhere he served as the Director of Interventional Radiology and subsequently Chief of Radiology. Dr. Nevitt has performed over 20,000 interventional procedures over 14 years of practice.
Locally a pioneer in minimally invasive treatment of Uterine Fibroids, he performed the first Uterine Fibroid Embolization on the San Mateo Peninsula. At Marin General Hospital, Dr Nevitt formed a team that performed the first Y 90 radioembolization procedure for treatment of malignant liver tumors; The program has grown and is one of the most active private practices in Northern California. Dr. Nevitt enjoys all aspects of Interventional including the treatment of peripheral vascular disease, dialysis access maintenance, vascular access and stroke treatment.
