Dr. Ambekar received her medical degree from Northwestern University Medical School in Chicago. She completed her transitional internship at Saint Vincent’s Hospital in New York. She then moved to San Francisco to pursue her diagnostic radiology residency training at the University of California, San Francisco, where she served as Chief Resident.
She continued at UCSF to complete fellowships in Neuroradiology and Musculoskeletal Imaging and is board-certified in diagnostic radiology and neuroradiology. Her clinical areas of interest include stroke, head and neck imaging, sports medicine, and cutting edge MR applications.
