Dr. Purcell received his MD and completed his residency and neuroradiology fellowship at the University of California San Francisco. He holds a certificate of advanced qualification in neuroradiology and is a Senior Member of the American Society of Neuroradiology. Dr. Purcell currently serves as an Assistant Clinical Professor in Neuroradiology at UCSF. Dr. Purcell has published several articles and book chapters on neuroradiology. Imaging specialties include stroke, head and neck, and neurodegenerative disease.
