Divisions
Dr. Colby received his MD and PhD degrees from the University of California Los Angeles. He completed clinical residency training in Diagnostic Radiology, and clinical fellowship training in Neuroradiology, both at the University of California San Francisco. He has received previous research grant support from the National Institutes of Health, has published peer-reviewed research, and has presented at multiple international meetings including those of the International Society of Magnetic Resonance in Medicine (ISMRM) and American Society of Neuroradiology (ASNR). His clinical and research interests focus on the ways in which advanced technologies, specifically state-of-the-art machine learning and AI approaches, can improve the accuracy, reliability, and efficiency of clinical radiological practice. His procedural focus includes image guided diagnostic procedures such as percutaneous bone/soft tissue biopsy, and myelography, as well as therapeutic interventional spine procedures for pain, including facet joint injection, selective nerve root block, radiofrequency ablation, and epidural injection.
Dr. Colby is American Board of Radiology certified in Diagnostic Radiology with Subspecialty in Neuroradiology.
